We believe that creative expression is one of the most sincere and impactful ways to inspire others. Through Flotsam + Jetsam we aim to inspire others to not only connect with the beauty of the natural world but find compassion for it. It is through this connection and love of the planet that we can protect it.
Flotsam and Jetsam art exhibition uniquely intertwines the creative art making of the local community and a deep passion to protect and preserve the Abrolhos Islands, home to our Pearl Farm.
Flotsam and Jetsam by Latitude Jewellers is a truly supported community art exhibition. Following the Clean Up, people come from near and far to select the materials that inspire them. Artists enter their works and winners are announced at a prestigious art exhibition opening night.
With around 100 entries this is a truly unique exhibition that has a strong sustainability message and aims to drive awareness of our environmental responsibility to protect and preserve the Abrolhos Islands and our beautiful planet.
Flotsambury
Flotsambury is a music festival world - a world of music.
A place where sound becomes form, where rhythm washes ashore, and where stories are shaped, carried, and remembered.
This year, Flotsam & Jetsam invites artists to explore music in all its expressions, from musicals and opera to legendary musicians, instruments, melodies, moments, and the feeling music leaves behind.
Think the nostalgia of Mamma Mia!, iconic legends like Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe or Tina Turner, or famous places like the Sydney Opera House.
Music might appear as a person or presence, an instrument, a symbol, a space, or an abstract response to rhythm and sound — inspired by the past, present, or something yet to come.
Flotsambury is a celebration of music that moves you, what you love, and the songs, sounds, and moments that have shaped your story — whether your work holds deep meaning, or simply captures a feeling, form, or sound.
As always, the theme is optional.
We believe that art has the power to make a positive impact on the world. By participating in this event, you’ll be sharing your creativity and helping us raise awareness about the importance of protecting our oceans and beaches.
