Island Days, the place that keeps calling us home
There are places that leave a mark on you. Not because of what you do there, but because of how they make you feel. For our family, that place is the Abrolhos Islands.
A remote chain of coral islands, 70 kilometres off the coast of Geraldton, where turquoise water stretches to the horizon, the wind carries the scent of salt, and life moves to the rhythm of the ocean. It’s where our family pearl farm is found. It’s where our pearls begin. And it’s where the inspiration for so much of what we create has always lived.
Island Days is our love letter to that place. Not simply as a collection of jewellery, but as a collection of moments. Moments of freedom. Of quiet. Of adventure. Of reflection. Of feeling completely connected to the ocean around you.
More than a photoshoot
When we returned to the islands to create Island Days, we weren’t setting out to photograph jewellery. We wanted to capture something far more difficult to describe. The feeling of standing barefoot on warm coral sand. The confidence that comes from trusting yourself. The calm that only seems to exist where the horizon stretches endlessly in every direction. The freedom of salt on your skin, wind in your hair, and nowhere else you need to be.
These aren’t moments we created for the camera. They’re moments the islands have been teaching us for generations. Every film, every photograph and every piece in the collection is inspired by that feeling.
Where every story begins
Our pearls spend almost five years growing in the pristine waters surrounding the Abrolhos Islands. They’re cared for by our family before making their way to our workshop in Geraldton, where they’re transformed into jewellery designed to be worn for a lifetime.
Very few jewellers can say they grow their own pearls and create jewellery from them. Fewer still can trace every piece back to one extraordinary place. Island Days celebrates that connection. Not just to the pearls themselves, but to the landscape, the colours, the textures and the quiet beauty that surround them every day.
Even the pieces without pearls carry a little of the islands within them. The flowing curves. The soft organic forms. The colours of sea, sand and coral. Every design begins with the place we call home.
